At Ursa Operating Company LLC, it is our duty to create value for all of our stakeholders:

  • Landowners/Leaseholders
  • Investors
  • Employees and Contractors
  • Community
  • We will achieve this mission through responsible development and by operating in a safe, respectable and sustainable manner.

Safety is a cornerstone of Ursa’s operations. Ursa’s principals all come from major, integrated oil and gas companies where safety and sustainability were an integral part of the business. That same philosophy is part of Ursa’s business. We strive to ensure the safety of everyone involved in Ursa’s businesses and have implemented a Safety Management Plan that covers our all of our activities and operations.

Ursa strives to be active and productive in the communities in which we live and work. We strongly believe in being a good neighbor and living by the golden rule—do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Our community involvement has taken many different forms over the years. From sponsorship of the rodeo at the county fair to participation in town hall meetings to hear community concerns, Ursa is engaged.

Ursa is committed to being a prudent operator and developer of oil & gas in the Piceance Basin. Paramount to our operations is the safety of our employees, contractors, and the communities in which we live and work. Another facet of our obligation to the community is simply to provide information about what we are doing. We will strive to keep the communities informed of our operating plans by hosting semi-annual townhall meetings; which will be advertised in local newspapers, no less than 15 days in advance of the meeting. In addition, we will keep the community informed of our operations via the industry/community bridge organizations of Community Counts Colorado,, and through the Garfield County Energy Advisory Board, , both which have public meetings once per month. These operational updates will include advance notice of drilling rig moves and travel routes.

As part of our commitment to the community our Vice President of Business Development is a Board Member of Community Counts Colorado and the Garfield County Energy Advisory Board. Ursa is also a member of Western Slope Colorado Oil & Gas Association, Colorado Oil & Gas Association and are registered with the Chamber of Commerce in the cites of Rifle, Silt, and Parachute.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us or either Community Counts Colorado at 866-442-9034, or Kirby Wynn, the Garfield County Oil & Gas Liason, at 970-625-5915.
